Where?

The Kings Arms is at the heart of the historical, picturesque village of Cartmel, situated in the famous square.

We are an ideal place to visit before or after Cartmel Races and The Priory. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty and is part of many walking routes. 

Stay

We are currently refurbishing our 6 luxury ensuite bedrooms. These will be available for booking soon. (Anticipated July 2023)

Drink and Dine

Our restaurant serves a range of hot, delicious English Gastro-pub food. We like to source local ingredients. We can cater to different dietary needs and we also have a children's menu. 

Our food hygiene rating is 5. You can make an online table booking HERE. If you have any allergies or specific dietary requirements and you book online please tell us about this in the Requests/Occasion section where you can write notes. You are of course free to ring us to discuss this on 015395 36708.

We have a range of guest ales from well-known and smaller local breweries, along with a fantastic selection of wines, spirits, and bar snacks.

When?

We are open 7 days a week to enhance your experience of Cartmel. We serve Breakfast 8-10.30am. Lunch 12-6pm and Dinner 6-9pm.

Dogs? 

We welcome well-behaved pooches and their owners. Just ask for a bowl of water if your dog needs a drink.  Complimentary dog Biscuits are also available on the bar. We will have dedicated dog-friendly bedrooms for those that want to stay overnight with their beloved pets. 

Entertainment

We love to showcase local talent and host live music, including the fabulous Fiona Music In the Lakes, Paul Morris, Miss Pearl, Jay Broome & Open Mic Nights

Celebrations

We can cater for your work and family celebrations making full use of our beautiful interior and traditional exterior.

We can come to you!

Hire our outside marquee and take advantage of our license for mobile bar services. We can even provide the buffet!
